SGS students admitted to prestigious universities around the world

The wait is over. April 1st has come and gone and by now 90 % of universities applied to by SGS students have sent their admittance decisions. The long hours of filling out applications, writing essays, researching universities and possible careers and trying to persuade their parents that they are ready to leave for college seems to have paid off. This year, we are very pleased to announce that we had the largest number of international applications, 82% of the senior class with a 70% acceptance rate of 83 different international universities applied to. In a year where acceptance rates are at its lowest because of the increase in number of applications received (20,000 per most universities), competitive academic programs and use of technology allowing applications to be more accessible, our students were able to stand out above others worldwide.

The university acceptances received by our students were exceptional. Some of the students have opted for a Gap Year in Germany or continuation of their studies in Mandarin at the Beijing Cultural Language University. This international/ multicultural vision of our students and parents is only a reflection of our school’s mission: SGS provides a challenging and comprehensive multilingual education within a disciplined and respectful learning environment, empowering all learners to reach their maximum academic and personal potential.
